How to fix your Mac with a wire-wrapped cable and a USB cable… and a new set of headphones
You might have heard of the wire-wrap cables, but there are still a few more tricks you can pull to fix this issue.
These new cables are made of a special plastic that makes it a little bit easier to bend, but they still have to be tied with a couple of small screws.
Here’s how to do it. 1.
Put your Mac in Safe Mode 1.
Press and hold the Home button and the Power button together.
2.
When your Mac turns on, press and hold Home, Power, Volume Down, and Sleep buttons together for about 10 seconds, until the Mac turns off completely.
3.
When the Mac is in Safe mode, plug in your USB cable, then press and release the power button.
This will turn off the Mac and you should see a message about “Safe Mode” in the bottom right corner.
This is where the problem occurs.
It will not work.
This error happens when your Mac is booted into Safe Mode, so it will not be able to connect to the Internet.
1) Turn off the power to your Mac.
2) Press and release Home, Volume Up, and Power buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds.
3) Turn the Mac off, and press and repeat the same steps to turn it back on. 3-5 minutes later, the Mac should connect to your computer again.
2-3 hours later, it will still not work, so be careful when you turn it off.
If it does work, you can safely plug your Mac back in, then plug in another USB cable to connect it to your PC.
If this does not work after that, you will need to get it replaced.
1-2 weeks after the original problem occurred, your Mac will be able connect to its computer again, but the problem will still be there.
